I love the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits die set from Stampin’ Up!  It is super versatile and you don’t need to do a whole lot else to the card!  Then you combine it with water coloring, I’m sold!  It took me about 40 minutes to do all 4 of these and the matching envelopes.  When I do a card, I usually do about 4 of them just to make sure I have a bunch on hand!

Here is the recipe:

Cut the Rich Razzleberry card stock into 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ for the base, fold in half using bone folder.

Cut the Basic Black to 3 3/4″ x 5″ to shadow the Whisper White

Cut the Whisper White for the front to 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ (I also recommend using the Watercolor paper, the Whisper White card stock has the tendency to curl up)

Cut the Whisper White for the inside to 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″

Take your Water Color Pencils (Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, and Rich Razzleberry) and lightly color thick shaded lines.  You don’t need to do it too much because when you run your aqua painters over it, it will spread.  I usually keep a paper towel handy in case I release too much water.  I like to do this step right away so it has time to dry.

Using the Big Shot and the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits die set, cut out the the multiple dragonflies.  This die set has a lot of detail in it so I do recommend using the die brush.  Using the Fine Tip Glue Pen, adhere the dragonflies to the water colored paper. Using the Black Momento ink, stamp “To a Wonderful Friend” from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set on the bottom right of the front Whisper White and “Enjoy your day” on the inside Whisper White.  Stamp the bee from the set on the outside of an envelope with Rich Razzleberry ink.

Adhere the water colored paper to the Basic Black card stock.  Adhere the Basic Black to the Rich Razzleberry card stock.  Adhere the inside Whisper White to the inside of the Rich Razzleberry.

As always, I love the shammy to clean off all my stamp set!  Feel free to browse around and I am happy to help with any Stampin’ Up questions!  Look me up, Megan Hansen!
